University of Sidney-Master of Human Rights and Democratisation (Asia Pacific) Scholarships

The Master of Human Rights and Democratisation (Asia Pacific) offers students the opportunity to study both at the University of Sydney and one of four selected partner universities in the Asia Pacific with particular expertise in human rights and democratisation. The degree consists of a foundational semester and a one-week inter-sessional intensive at the University of Sydney and a second semester at one of the partner institutions. The partner institutions are Gadjah Mada University (Indonesia), Kathmandu School of Law (Nepal), Mahidol University (Thailand), University of Colombo (Sri Lanka) Up to 30 scholarships are available for citizens of countries in the Asia Pacific region to undertake the Master of Human Rights and Democratisation (Asia Pacific). Successful applicants for the scholarships will receive funding for their tuition fees and contributions to accommodation, living expenses and airfares.


Eligibilitiy
To be eligible, for the Master of Human Rights and Democratisation (Asia Pacific) Scholarship you must be a citizen of one of the following countries:
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Burma (Myanmar) Cambodia, China, Cook Islands, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, Kiribati, North Korea, South Korea, Lao PDR, Maldives, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Mongolia, Nauru, Nepal, New Zealand, Niue, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Viet Nam, Wallis & Futuna.

Applicants who wish to be considered for a scholarship should submit their application for admission by 10 December 2010 in order to allow sufficient time for the student visa application process to be completed.
